i'm so glad. . .

. . .when daddy comes home.
glad as i can be. . .

last night was a
special occasion.

alex got off work at 9:30.

now, that's not for
the special occasion,
that was the special occasion.

we celebrated by making
real homemade fondue
with ciabatta & vegetables,
spinach & cranberry salad,
and very seasonally-appropriate
martha's

oh, happy day. . .

Sounds like a good night to me - but then any night with fondue is a good night!! Glad he was able to come home early (how sad is it that 9:30 is considered early??)!

Oh, I feel your pain and excitement at having Alex come home at 9:30. That would be cause for celebration in our home too!

And by the way, you have all those exotic ingredients just lying around your house? Impressive! My fridge consists of milk, cheese, and diet coke. And mac and cheese (but that's not in fridge)!

Yeah, Jon get's home around 11:30ish/midnight after rehearsals/performances so I feel your pain. What a celebration though! I'm totally going to make that pumpkin bread.

This makes me so happy. Was this a meal you just threw together or did you have warning that he would be home early?
