the durova theatre
has been making
children smile,
gasp, laugh, and
stare in amazement
for 95 years.
ask any russian who
grew up in moscow,
and they have
fond childhood memories
from this place.

on saturday we made
some of our own.

at least until
milla was frightened
by the scary guys
and had to be escorted out.
"i want the people
to go home, mama."

nothing like a
bear on a scooter,
an albino porcupine,
and a jumproping monkey
to raise your spirits
on a saturday afternoon.

Looks like lots of fun -- and maybe a little bit scary too. I love to take my kids to things like that. It's so fun to see them wide-eyed and amazed.
