snack du jour

gingersnaps.
on a crisp,
snowy, wintry
afternoon.

3/4 c. butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1/4 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
2 t. baking soda
1 t. cloves
1 t. ginger
2 c. all-purpose flour
sugar for rolling cookies

-preheat oven to 350.
-lightly grease baking sheets
-cream together butter and sugar.
add molasses and mix thoroughly.
-add salt, cinnamon, baking soda,
cloves, and ginger; mix well.
-sift flour and add to the mix.
form dough into 1-inch balls and
roll in sugar. place on baking
sheet about 2 inches apart.
-bake for 10 min.

Mmmm. It's 11:00am, do you think they'd be ready to eat for lunch? I'm sure Jack wouldn't disagree.. but Colby might. They look easy- that's my kind of cooking! :) Thanks for sharing.

I have been meaning to tell you that the boys and I made these cookies two days in a row....they were so yummy the first day that we ate them all up and made them again the next day...Now William goes around the house saying "Inger Nap" and starts laughing!!!
